NC Standards Academy & MLs Summer Conference (East)
Wednesday July 23, 2025 8:30am - 11:30am EDT
The Literacy Instruction Standards (LIS) were created to support high-quality literacy instruction across all grade levels and content areas—but what might literacy integration look like across content areas? In this session, we’ll dig into how the LIS can be used as a practical tool for planning and delivering effective instruction in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. We’ll explore how the LIS connect with research-based literacy practices and how they can help all teachers—regardless of content area—integrate literacy into their daily instruction. Participants will leave with ready-to-implement ideas and strategies to support daily implementation of the LIS. Please note: This session has been designed for K-12 educators across all content areas and discipline
