Serving students who are both Multilingual Learners (MLs) and Students with Disabilities (SWDs) requires a collaborative, asset-based approach built on shared expertise. In this session, participants will explore how general education teachers, ML specialists, special educators, and support staff can work together to design instruction that meets both language development and disability-related needs. Participants will: - Explore best practices, tools, and resources for collaborative planning and instruction - Learn how to integrate language development strategies with specially designed instruction - Review key legal policies and frameworks guiding support for dually identified students - Reflect on how strong partnerships can promote student success and discover opportunities to promote academic growth of these learners
Join us to reflect, connect, and strengthen your vision for partnership-centered student support!
