This session will provide an overview of Character Education in North Carolina and explore the 11 Principles of Character Education. This session will explore how cultivating strong, supportive relationships with students can significantly impact engagement, behavior, and academic outcomes. Participants will reflect on the role of teacher-student connections in creating inclusive, compassionate classroom environments and learn practical strategies to foster meaningful relationships with students from diverse backgrounds. This session equips educators with the tools to meet the needs of all learners while promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and belonging.
