About me
I am in my 21st year in education, and it is my fifth year on my journey as a media coordinator. I am honored to be the 2024-2025 NC School Librarian of the Year. Before becoming a librarian, I have been a classroom teacher (K-3), a reading specialist, and an ESL teacher over the past 21 years. I currently serve as the Director of Programming for the Crystal Coast Reading Council and the Past President of the North Carolina Reading Association, as well as the Parliamentarian of NCSLMA. You can check out my librarian podcast, "Sorry, I'm All Booked" wherever you listen to podcasts. I am passionate about supporting multilingual learners, technology, and literacy, and I'm excited to share what's going on in our little corner of the world and connect with others across NC and beyond!
