Vivian Simmons is an instructional coach in North Carolina, where she supports multilingual learners and Dual Language Immersion (DLI) programs. With 18 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and professional learning facilitator, she partners with educators and administrators to strengthen instruction and support inclusive, meaningful language development.
She holds master’s degrees in TESOL and school administration, is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in educational leadership, and was recently selected as a 2025 WIDA Fellow. A former international student and bilingual educator, Vivian values the cultural and linguistic strengths students bring to the classroom.
